Scientific name – Salarias fasciatus.

Food and Diet: Algae Blenny does best in well-established aquariums with large amounts of natural algae to feed on. The diet can be supplemented with vegetable matter, spirulina, and herbivore preparations.

The Blenniidae family are a family of fishes who spend most of their time perching or moving from space to spaceas they graze algae from the rocks. Their anatomy allows them to swim only short distances, making their swimming motion look more like a hopping.

Because of their relatively small size, blennies are well suited to home aquariums as long as they are provided with adequate rockwork or a small nook to use as a home base.
