Lovely Mexican Sterling Silver Fede Gimmel Style Ring Sz 6 - N6

Description

The design of this ring dates back to the 12th century though they were often given as engagement rings in Europe during the Renaissance. The Fede ring, which in Italian means faith and trust, is depicting a pair of clasped hands, a lady's wrist gloved hand intertwined with a man's hand, on separate bands that when pulled apart reveal a concealed heart, which is why this design was so often given as a token of affection or a betrothal ring.

The center band is stamped 925 MEXICO TS-07.

The ring is a size 6, it measures 1/4" wide, and weighs 2.8g.
